The new feature i was most excited about is the water chemistry integration. With beersmith 3, you can add and edit your desired water profile right inside the recipe builder. In the previous version, calculating water profiles was done separately and was not user friendly. Water chemistry is admittedly tricky to grasp and there’s a pretty steep learning curve. I’ve found that beersmith 3’s water profile integration works great so far. I get very similar results to other water chemistry spreadsheets.
